The Site Waste Management Plans Regulations 2008
Allow us to complete your Site Waste Management Plan

New regulations which were brought into play in 2008 state that “Site Waste Management Plans” must be completed before removing waste from large building sites. We can complete the Site Waste Management Plan on your behalf, but regulations state that it must be countersigned by the client and the principal contractor. When works are completed the principal contractor has to sign a”Completion Declaration” and list any deviations from the proposed methods.

The Information we would require from you for us to draft a Site Waste Management Plan would be:

  • Project name,
  • Client name,
  • Contractors name,
  • Full site address with post code,
  • Project cost,
  • Brief description of work to be completed.

The plan will be designed to effect decisions which are taken prior to commencing the project. The aim being to minimise waste by planning how it will be sectioned and disposed of in advance. Also by planning which construction methods and/or which materials will be used during the project.

Waste estimation and planned action, will be split into 4 groups:

  • Re-usable waste,
  • Recyclable waste,
  • Recoverable waste,
  • Disposable waste.

Once the Site Waste Management Plan has been submitted and work commences the waste extracted will be continuously monitored. We keep up to date records of all waste streams extracted from all sites to provide recycling figures upon project completion
