How do we deliver roll-on-off-containers?

For deliveries, generally containers are placed on larger sites. You will need to ensure there are no obstructions, like vehicles blocking the access and to have the landing area clear. The driver will check with you for the placement of the container. The driver will then position his lorry to be able to drop the container in the requested space, off of the lorry and onto the ground. Check for overhead cables and overhanging trees.

What is an acceptable level load?

In order to be able to safely remove a container from site, the load within will have to be level. This is to ensure upmost safety when going to and from site. Overloads can be volume (height of the load in the container) or weight (if loads contains soil/rubble they are at times very heavy). We cannot always collect overloaded containers due to the increased risk to the public on the highway.

How long can I keep a Roll-on-off Container for?

Usually Roll-On-Off container hire lasts a maximum of 2 weeks. Generally, it is not a problem if the container is needed for longer. However if the container is on site for more than four weeks, we will call to discuss how long it will stay and agree a possible rental charge.

What can I put in a container?

Most things can go in a container. We are not licenced to carry liquids, asbestos or hazardous waste. We can accept mattresses, tyres, gas bottles, fridges and fire extinguishers but there will be an additional charge of £10 + VAT per item.

How do I pay?

Payment can be made via card, cash, bank transfer or cheque. This can be card over the phone/online, bank transfer online or cash/cheque to the driver. Payment can be on booking, delivery or collection as long as payment is received before we take your skip away. We can email, post or hand receipts over on site.
